

The left blue dot seems to look bigger than the right blue dot, even though they are actually the same size. This optical illusion is created by surrounding the left blue dot with smaller black dots, & the right blue dot with bigger black dots. Thus, similarly, we tend to perceive that "favorites" are much stronger because they are priced by extremely low odds. Consequently, we tend to think the "underdogs" are much worse, as they are priced by much higher odds. Just as how our brains can be fooled by optical illusions, we can also be fooled by such cognitive illusions.
Do not put others in the 'underdog' situation if you don't want to be in the similar situation.
