BELATED Merry New Year to everyone!
Being the first post of 2009, a little overdue I know, I just realised I hadn't got any New Year Resolution identified.
Peeps, how many of you actually have those resolutions worked out and try to attain or achieve them?
For me, I find most new year resolutions either vague, too easily attainable or even too unrealistic. I hadn't got one up till the year end of 2005 into year 2006, when I was twenty-two I think. That, was to quit smoking. With a snap of fingers, I abide by that for a good 11 months (end 2006) till i got enticed back into puffing. So I became a social or rather weekend smoker for the whole of 2007.
**A weekend smoker works like a a weekend car, smoke after 7pm on weekdays, after 2pm on Saturdays, and the whole of Sundays and public holidays. Ho ho ho...
Yes, if you're wondering, I made the same new year resolution for 2008 and manage to stay smoke-free to date.
Now, I do get the occasional thoughts and temptations of stealing a puff, but it's a matter of enforcing mind over body, which I just manage to edge out. However, I have seen with my own eyes people quitting the stick, and yet pick it up again. (Including myself and those you know who are you eh)
My New Year Resolution: To continue to stay smoke free for 2009.
With the larger scale of non-smoking area kicking in, isn't it a good time to try abandon the habit? Or even, try cutting down ya?
.
P.S. While I have made my (belated) New Year Resolution, have you made yours already?
Fret not if you haven't, for it's better to be late than never... =)
