Finally...

I am no longer a virgin..

Yes, you eyes ain't playing a trick on you, I'm no longer a virgin!

With a twist, I did my maiden marathon yesterday.. Before anything, question:

Will you sought to improve something you have been doing/had done, or would you be willing prioritise at trying something new?

Alright, tracking back... About half a year ago, I was listening to some of my mates exclaiming the satisfaction of running and completing a marathon. I was somewhat drawn to the topic, and I thought, why not I try to do it at least once in my life?

I asked a friend of mine, whom I call him 'Me', "You think how soon I can complete a marathon?"

"Depends, if you train regularly, by next year or even this year." He said.

I never looked back since I did my 1st run back in July...

08 Jun '08 - Passion Run, 10km
27 Jul '08 - Mizuno Wave Run, 10km
24 Aug '08 - Army Half Marathon, 21km
31 Aug '08 - Nike Human Race, 10km
07 Dec '08 - SCB Singapore Marathon, 42km

I didn't do much training prior, so am very happy I completed everything unscathed, lest the muscle aches and strains.

Oh, so Me asked me: "Will you still be running another marathon next year? To improve your timing?"

"No idea. My initial aim is to complete a marathon, which I just did. Will see how, thank you for everything though."

'Been there, done that' effect..

Instead of adding numbers to the marathons I have completed, I might explore other activities I hadn't try.. Mind you, those registration fees for the runs are only getting higher and higher.. Geez..
