Another run-in arises, drop it and run away?
Tired of being benign and all congenial to seeming worthies; yet efforts went prodigal and thy improvident.
Anyway, earlier had a match at 5pm at Bedok North Secondary.
Half-time: We were down by 0-1
With barely about 10mins remaining in the second half, we were still trailing by 0-2, however with some luck, the whole situation changed.
I manage to collect a defence splitting pass from Bryan, which was initially meant for Mark, cutting across and toe poked towards the near post. Almost in Matrix motion, the ball stealth passed between the post and the keeper's arm.
Score: 1-2
With much still left to do, for my goal celebration i put a finger to my lips, hinting opposition bench to keep silence (yes, they are freaking vocal and rather noisy) and also to remind my team mates the reality - we're still down.
8 mins left on the clock...
In injury time, almost the last kick of the match, pending a free kick, our goalie Junxian ran the full length of the field to join in the attack. Opponents must be mocking at him, but not for long. In comes the free kick and after a scuffle, he passed the ball to Minghao, who then manage to blast in a shot to tie the match at 2-2.
Minghao went euphoric, taking off his shirt and ran in circles as though he won the World Cup. Lol. What a comeback, what an ending.
Apparently having WAGs at the games do give us the extra sprint.
Oh, Alex had a fractured nose after being punched by the opponent goalie after going for a 50-50 challendge. I cant imagining myself having a fractured nose, geez.
Alex, hope you get well soon and be back with us.
WAGs denotes: Wives and Girlfriends
P.S. Pardon me if this post is boring, soccer is my passion. =D
