In Reminiscence..

As i walked home yesterday after my usual soccer session.. I saw a group of kids playing soccer at my void deck.. As my area is undergoing upgrading, the recently repainted walls are spotting those soccer ball marks scatteredly..

No, i didnt thought of complain to the authorities, if that came to your mind..

I glided back through my memory and remembered the time when i was bare 9 or 10 years old.. I would be doing the same thing as them.. All my time i will be playing soccer at the void deck with my neighbours.. Countless lectures from residents staying a level above, to policemen coming down to jot our names and keep us away.. Yes, the walls are repainted due to us time and again, and again..

I feel like the kids nowadays are slowly robbed by their childhood.. Why?

I used to play marbles at the play ground, are you able to do that now with those rubber/plastic carpets?

I used to watch cartoons, but now, more often than not, they would have some young people singing, dancing, and trying to act as innocent as possible.. Yes, i'm talking about Hi5, and apparently i hear we have one or two bands of this calibre in Singapore already..

Free soccer fields with proper amenities are rarely seen, with most of them converted to cash generating business already..

Oh well.. I might be wrong though, the kids might like it.. But i think, they're morphed into liking.. Your take?
