Why are you getting a higher education?

One of my lecturers posted this question to the class previously..

"To upgrade myself", says one.
"Get better job; Better pay", the other citied.
"Try to get promotion and move up the corporate ladder of course", said the third.

My lecturer simply replied, "How do you justify your Return On Investment (ROI)? OK, say your course fee is 20k. You need to factor in the cost like food, transport, time and most importantly energy as most of you are working. This education stays with you for life, and it's never just about the 20k and 3 years. It's about the effort you gave and the satisfaction you recieve afterwards."

For me, personal achievement most probably being the main factor.

In a twinkle of eyes, I'm 1 year and 3 month into the course to date. As I anticipate the 1st year final result, hope the insane amount of coffees, die die cannot go out during exam periods and ecetra, will be rewarded with all 1st attempt passes. I can't imagine myself mugging for a sub paper one week before this coming term exam.

P.S: Thank you guys for the feedbacks, I will find myself back. Was just trying to be more varied, but somehow I didn't fare well. I will find myself again guys..

Watching Mythbusters now, one of my favourite shows.. Night peeps..
