Ok.. Just felt a change is needed, and yeah.. A new setting and a little changes to the templates.. Ok.. Today's topic goes.. Like this..
Read an article about half year ago about American working style and all. More and more companies are adopting the new conceptualized mindset of working. 'Flexi-hours' is one of the unique clauses included in contracts of some major companies in States now. You can come to the office at 12, or even later, but as long as you clock 8 working hours a day and you're trouble-free from the human resource. There was this shot with a guy in shirt and tie, but in bermudas. Reports shows that he's working in an advertising firm and the boss itself encourages creavtive dressing for even more creavtive thinkings! Staff can even bring pets or children to work even, to add, some big corporations even have their own carecare center. Talking about job satisfaction, this fit the bill definitely! What's more? Sorry to mention this, but, the writer says most companies in Singapore practice 13th month AWS. If you're getting it without fail every year, good, otherwise read on. According to the writer, they're being paid wages(usually shorter than a month) compared to us, salaries(usually a month). Say seven days makes a week, and four weeks be calculated a month, take the days a year to be 365 days=52 weeks=13 months. Saw that?! Thirteen months! It's not a bonus, that's why it's called, 'Annual Wages Supplement'. It's not something extra, it's your pay for the few extra days you work every month, an entitlement. When i saw this i was quite dumbfounded, for the company i was working for doesn't provide for a majority of us. Management stated we had comissions already, hence no AWS. Have to work extra days, work extra hard just to get our should-be entitlement? Well, i did well enough to claim more than a month's pay back then, hence i was quite cool about the issue. Many others? Made a fuss and yet in the very end, ended up empty handed.
I used to think that the world is round, till a verbal statement made someone searched the internet for the very answer.. Had reviews about that 'True Story' post from at least five persons to continue already.. Personally i love that post too, for it's one of few entries i don't stop to think what to type.. Well, i'm considering, so.. Anyway i'm smiling.. For i always believe, it's hard to make people follow a story, pinning for more.. I guessed i'm a little successful, kudos to me *claps*.. To be a good blogger to at least attain a few reguarly readership is hard, for an author? Harder still.. Like how the author of Harry Porter is able to make avid readers of her series, ranging from kids to working adults to senior citizens queued up at Borders Orchard since dawn breaks till the book launch at 12am midnight that very day? It's insane, yet no one could explain.. I like the flair in writing, how you're free from all hovering thoughts, how independant it seemed to make you, for the use of words and everything.. Well, i'm treating blogging as my hobby already.. I'm sort of addicted.. Once in a while i do go over all, yes all my entries to remind me what wrote and of course spot my errors. I won't go correct it, lest it's illegible.. For the lack of perfection, is also a beauty itself.. *grins*
