Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong..
- The chance of the buttered side of the bread falling face down is directly proportional to the cost of the carpet.
- The other line always moves faster.
- The person ahead of you in the queue, will have the most complex transaction possible.
- Anything good in life is either illegal, immoral or fattening.
- If you lose something that is replaceable (textbooks, clothing etc) as soon as you buy a replacement the original will surface.
- Just when you think things cannot get any worse, they will.
- Whatever you want, you can't have, what you can have, you don't want.
- Whatever you want to do, is Not possible, what ever is possible for you to do, you don't want to do it.
- A valuable falling in a hard to reach place will be exactly at the distance of the tip of your fingers.
- You will always find something in the last place you look.
- IF it is never in the last place you look, it will be in the first place you look, but never discovered on the first attempt.
- Your best golf shots always occur when playing alone.
- The worst golf shots always occur when playing with someone you are trying to impress.
- No matter how perfect things are made to appear, Murphy's law will take effect and screw it up.
Usually the positives outnumbers the negatives, however being pessimistic us, we tends to remember the former better.
Have Murphy's law failed you again today?

吴克群 - 牵牵牵手 MV (完整版)
Nice song someone intro-ed to me some time back. To go along, share with you peeps with a unpolished work of mine, penned years back. ;D
I want to hold your hand,
together walk down this lovely land..
With the sky so dim already,
when will the sunset scene be ready..
Resting on soft green grass,
where we are free from all tasks..
As i wrap you around my arms,
i just want to keep you from all harms..
Praying like a solemn pilgrim,
i hope all clocks to stop its' tick...

Is this like you?

Most of us are busier than ever. Our lives are full of things to do, places to go, people to meet. All of these in the name of "getting ahead". But there comes a time when we need to question "is this really success"?
Ask most people what they're looking for, and chances are you'll hear things like: "inner peace, balance, a chance to relax, and an opportunity to smell the roses". In short, the opposite to the hectic lifestyle that most people seem to be living in right now. As author Stuart Wilde puts it, "life was never meant to be a struggle".
We need to form a new definition for success, one that includes more balance, more time to be with those we love, more time for play, and more time to nurture ourselves. The paradox is that the reason most of us work long and hard is so we can relax, play, and have more time for our loved ones. Yet the more time we spend working, the less time we have to enjoy the other aspects of our lives.
Certainly finances and your career are important, but not at the expense of your health, your inner peace, your family and enjoying your life.
It takes courage to let go of our old struggle habits and create ways to leverage ourselves and delegate many of our tasks. It takes courage to re-examine our values and make our "self", our loved ones and our careers equal priorities. It takes courage to take more time for yourself and maintain true equilibrium in your life.

Does one's existence really matter?
For profitable gains to lost of dominance, negligence and abuse sets in..
Wonder if you peeps out there have the same feeling sometime, that why or what do you live for? The day just wont go right for you, the bus is moving at crawling speed when you are late.. Waking up each day looking forward to void..
May all find their inspiration in life, be merry and happy.. On the other hand, my condolence to those grieving parents in Mainland China..
Thought of the day: Be like a postage stamp, stick on till you're there, the intended destination.

17.09.08 - Wee Kiat's wedding - Marina Mandarin
1st up - small pieces of white bread each for the groom and 4 brothers
2nd - bite thru two slices of lemon each
3rd - oreo cookie stuffings/paste (without the cookie) with sugar
4th - half slice of a full length bitter gourd
5th - oreo cookies! but stuff with wasabi
So that completes plain, on the top four flavours - sourness, sweetness, bitterness and spiciness; all in order..
Oh, i had that Guinness Stout with a raw egg dumped into it. As you guessed it, they drank 1st, leaving me to clear up the residue. Having no qualms about it, i gulp it down, disgusted.
Arrived at the hotel around 5.15pm, bummed around and went for briefing by hotel staff.
I was nervous and spoke so quick that to some i wasn't clear, almost mumbling.
Went through the script on stage for a good 5 times at least, with each try easing the tension.
Then the moment came, facing around 300 people on stage, i went "Good evening ladies and gentlemen, i am Peter. I believe tonight is the night we have been looking forward to. Before we invite the newly wed couple, let us take a look at their montage."
The rest went ok, i think, according to the others: Not the astounding, but above average.
I need to put the following down, for i wont be apologising for this. I use to undertake the negatives to keep the smiles and buzz intact, no longer i am to some.
So next up, photo taking. My task was to help groom drink, should the need arises. I went mad and sounded harsh when confronting those who were suppose to help arrange the tables for photo taking.
Due to time constraint, we need to arrange one table ahead, so the couple can just stand in, "click" and there we go.
They left me alone for temporal, walking off out of sight. I smiled and carried on alone. I wouldn't mind going solo, than to have some vases around.
When we have barely a little over an hour to complete the 30 tables, averaging a little over 2mins a table, did anyone noticed we complete the process in like 40mins for all the 30 tables?
I reckon there isnt any, or much.
Thoughts of the day: What seem impossible is left for you to conquer.
P.S. Do not worry if ever you did peeps, i'm all smiling from side to side. Cheers! =)

Money over passion or passion over money... Your take?
I like my CB lesson on Monday. That CB lecturer is hilarious and very good at keeping the class spontaneous.
Anyway, some random thoughts...

Obviously this kind of pictures are used to deter smokers to smoke and that we could see them almost everywhere. To be frank, when i chose to throw my pack on New Year's Day wasn't much due to these type of gross pictures.
Anyway, hope those still hooking on to ciggies can get off them soon. Everytime you light up, 50 cents is burning at your finger tips, just think of that whenever you light: it might just be the motivation you need to kick the habit.
May all be well and healthy, cheers...
P.S: CB denotes Consumer Behaviour, not you know what.. =D
